It is a little over two years since we began with the idea of creating a community that could offer more than current options in Switzerland for people entering the second half of life.
Since that time, we have been asking people what it is that they would like to see in their future home. Largely influenced by the responses we collected, Wohnen+ Basel has refined its ideas, and its search.
It hasn’t always been easy. Almost everyone we spoke to wants to live in Basel-Stadt, but as we know, land in Switzerland’s smallest canton is scarce. We have viewed a number of possible locations and the valuable experience that we gathered has given us the confidence that Westfeld meets our criteria and presents by far the best opportunity for our new housing solution.
